Retail Interior Design & Architecture
A retail interior is a brand argument made in three dimensions. Every material choice, every sightline, every transition from entrance to fitting room communicates something about who you are and who your customer is. Getting it right isn't just about aesthetics — it's about designing a space that makes the right people feel at home from the moment they step inside.
Kaiko Design Interiors designs retail interiors for brands that take that seriously. Our commercial clients tend to be owner-operated businesses or founder-led brands where the physical environment is an extension of a considered identity — not an afterthought, and not a template fitout.
Our retail portfolio includes salons, bespoke tailoring ateliers, pilates and wellness studios and professional consulting spaces across Sydney. Each project is delivered through the same structured, documentation-led process that defines our residential work — which means clarity for builders and trades, strong budget control and a finished result that reflects the original design intent rather than drifting during construction.
We work closely with clients throughout the full design process, from spatial planning and concept development through to detailed documentation, tender and construction management.
Our work
Our current retail portfolio includes J H Cutler, one of Australia's most storied bespoke tailoring houses — established in 1886 and considered among the finest in the country. Designing for a brand with that depth of heritage requires a particular sensitivity: the space must honour the craftsmanship and history of the house while creating an environment that feels relevant and considered for the contemporary client. The project is currently in progress and will be published here shortly.
